Transferring from Arizona
To transfer your Arizona credential to another state or country, you must have an IC&RC credential. ABCAC provides IC&RC credentials for the following certifications:
- Certified Alcohol and Drug Abuse Counselor (CADAC)
- Advanced Alcohol and Drug Counselor (AADC)
- Certified Prevention Specialist (CPS)
- Certified Peer Recovery Specialist (CPRS)
- Certified Criminal Justice Professional (CCJP)
- Certified Clinical Supervisor (CCS)
If you hold an IC&RC credential, your certification will transfer to any other IC&RC state or country easily.
To start the transfer process, please email [email protected] and include:
- Your full name
- A valid contact email
The transfer process may take up to 4 weeks to complete.
Transferring to Arizona
If you wish to transfer your credential to Arizona, you must already hold an IC&RC credential. Please contact the board where you currently hold your IC&RC credential to initiate the transfer process.
If you have already started the transfer process but have not received any updates after 4 weeks, please contact your original board and IC&RC for assistance.
Fees for Reciprocity Requests:
- $150 certification fee for incoming reciprocity requests, payable upon approval.
- $150 certification fee to submit reciprocity requests.
